Unlock Message: "You're crushing things from AskMen's "Better Man" list. Clearly you're a Better Man today than you were yesterday. Viva La Evolucion!"
@snowxh Follow the above instructions to get the badge. If you are not in the areas on the venue list you will probably have to use the jumping technique
Follow the above instructions were as. And check in New York and Miami venue was. Check-in my friends have unlocked the venue. But do not get the badge. What is the problem?
This badge has been retired. After testing it twice and not being able to unlock it as well ac seeing no recent unlocks on twitter i am moving it to the retired category.
I just was looking at the askmen.com newsletter for san fran that can out of friday...
it listed this place....
TEA ROOM OF THE WEEK [FOURSQUARE BETTER MAN BADGE] Samovar Why? Healthy sips Tea is one of those things we only used to drink when we were sick or at the end of the night when we need a non-caffienated, gentle-on-the tummy warm bevvie to help us fall asleep. At Samovar, the art of tea is the art of relaxation, and we recommend going with full-blown tea service. The Russian tea service brings you deviled eggs with caviar and other snacks to go along with your steeped leaves.

Yea I get those newsletters every week too. I signed up for everyone they have. But when I last tested the badge i checked into every venue i could find that they have mentiones and it did not unlock the badge. I have discovered that just because the brand mentions a badge does not mean that it is still active. Sony has been having that issue with the WTA tennis badge for a while now, they keep posting where to checkin to unlock it but it never unlocks anymore.
Kindov. This was at least an active badge that has appeared to have gone inactive. The rock on badge was more an issue of the brand applying for a badge and the badge not getting approved and activated by when they were hoping for. Some brands think that if they apply for a badge that it will just get approved and be active when they want it to. But in reality it takes them a long time to get that process done.
The exact process i am not sure of. All i know is when u apply for a badge on their submission page they will review the submission and get back to the person who submitted the proposal within 2 weeks if they think the badge is a strong fit for foursquare. After that the artwork has to be created and approved, the unlock instructions have to be setup and approved, then they have to write all the code and get it into their system. Then they just have to set a release date and get the badge activated. Sounds like a simple process but for some reason it seems to take quite a long time.
Maybe not so hard for one badge but I imagine the bulk of the time process is "waiting your turn" for your badge to be worked on. Also prolly a lot of wheeling and dealing back and forth to agree upon rules and design...ya know, the business aspect of it
Yea the badge was retired in June. When I was going through all the badges last night I noticed that 4sqr had just placed a retired banner on this badge then noticed that this discussion was listed as active still. Thats when I posted that comment. After looking at it again a few hours later I realized that it was listed in the retired badge section on the main badge list and somehow the category had accidently gotten switched on this badge dicussion back to active so I just switched it back to retired.
